Fundraising
The Sun Lakes Posse is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. Although we operate under the auspices of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), we do not receive any financial support from them or from any other federal, state or local entity. Therefore, your generosity is essential in the Sun Lakes Posse's ongoing operational efforts to protect and serve the residents and business interests of the Sun Lakes community.
Over the years, your monetary donations have allowed the Sun Lakes Posse to purchase both the land and our Office building located at 9531 E. Riggs Road. Inherent in that ownership are continuing building maintenance costs. Your contributions are applied toward those operating expenditures.
Most importantly, your monetary contributions provide for the purchase and maintenance of our marked patrol vehicles and the specialized equipment contained in them. Specifically, each marked patrol vehicle must be fitted with emergency light bar equipment. Further, each marked patrol vehicle contains personal protection equipment and specialized communications equipment such as dedicated radios to MCSO Dispatch and cell phones. Your donations have also allowed the Sun Lakes Posse to purchase navigational assistance devices that directly enhance our response times during emergency situations.
Lastly, your monetary donations are used to purchase and maintain all of our office supplies and equipment. That includes our computers with a specialized database that tracks the medical equipment we loan out, free of charge, to all Sun Lakes community!
The Sun Lakes Posse is deeply grateful for the past and continuing monetary support provided to us by the residents, service-oriented clubs and individuals in the Sun Lakes community!
